For many years, we as a teachers and parents have observed that our students/children often have a violent behavior before, during and after classes. This rude behavior might produce some injures, fights, accidents and others issues.

This kind of misbehavior would be reflected also in the way they are taking care about their emotional and physical health. The students who present violence problems at school might begin to face health and emotional problems without any apparent reason. Girls for example, could respond negatively to their feed process because of the bulling or harassment about their weight or appearance.

In the case of the boys, they could feel disrespect or manipulate to do thing they do not really want to do. We as a teachers and parents must pay attention to all these signals they are producing. Any uncontrolled action will produce both, emotional and healthy problems. They as a children might not have a clear understanding about the negative consequences they will carry out.

My recommendation as a specialist is to talk once per week to their teachers, counselor or administrative personnel of the school to try to identify any possible detonator. If you identify something estrange or suspicious call immediately to your specialist and try to take part about the situation. Remember that our children will not respond positively when they have some problems at school.

Remember that the best way to prevent social, personal or emotional problems is to spend more time with your children. Take the time they need and share with them more outdoor activities. This will be the best prevention medicine you should take into account.

A Memorable Experience!!

It was like another Wednesday at my job in Acosta. I was teaching when I received a big new. Something special that I was waiting for, a telegram about my new job in USA like a Spanish Teacher. It was totally crazy for me because I was waiting for that opportunity. In Costa Rica I used to work at MEP, but I didn’t have a Tenior Position, so, I decided to go to North Carolina to work as a Teacher. There, I used work with Students from a Public School. At the beginning it was hard, but, at the end of my contract, it was a big opportunity to meet new people, new culture and new places. When I worked in USA, I would travel to different States, tasted different and delicious food, and met people from Hungary, Philippines, and Romany. My contract fished and I went back to work at MEP again, two years later I got my Tenior Position, another memorable day in my life!!!
The most unmemorable experience of my childhood happened when I was eight. At that time, I was in second grade.  I used to play soccer with my classmates. Actually, I was one of the best players. For one of those soccer matches, I was playing representing my school in a championship in Desamparados. While I was running with the ball, I saw a jacket in the middle of the field. So, I stopped running, got back to the middle of the field, took the jacket and ran back toward the principal and asked to him for the jacket’s owner. Of course, everybody whistled at me. After that embarrassing moment, I have not played soccer anymore.
